Annual Events
Fire Ant Festival
Held every year the fourth weekend of March, Ashburn welcomes the Fire Ant Festival not the ants themselves. Known for its wacky and off the wall activities, the festival offers family oriented fun for all ages from the Fire Ant Calling contest, a giant Fire Ant Maze, carnival, car show, arts and crafts, fireworks and much more.

Trick-or-Treat in the Streets
Held around Halloween, this fun event draws in all of Turner County’s kids dressed in their Halloween best. It’s a great opportunity to meet and greet with city and county representatives as they hand out candy to Turner County’s little residents in a safe environment with street closures. The date is announced via The Wiregrass Farmer, the local newspaper of the county, each year.
